Buenos Aires revealed its plan to create a digital identity platform, which will be put into use in early 2023, according to a city official. The development came after the city promised to let its residents control their personal data.

The only goal of the city’s planned project is to protect privacy and ensure its compatibility with other blockchain technologies in the near future. The digital identity platform in Buenos Aires will be autonomous, which means that it will build trust between the parties concerned while ensuring the authenticity of data and certificates. This is achieved without storing user data or any personal information on the blockchain.
