Iran Denies Attack on Kharg Island, Calls Trump's Post 'Ridiculous'
Odaily News: According to Iran's Nour News, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Bovard, said on Monday that oil operations on Iran's Kharg Island have not stopped, denying Trump's earlier post claiming that the island's key oil hub had been destroyed. Bovard said: "Trump's tweet is ridiculous, and the situation on Kharg Island is currently calm and normal."
He stated that 90% of Iran's oil exports come from Kharg Island. Although the island has been bombed multiple times by US and Israeli forces in the past, oil workers have not stopped oil operations for "a single moment." Bovard also said that contractors are currently rebuilding and upgrading storage tanks and docks. (Jin Shi)
