Robinhood Banking Assets Surpass $4 Billion, Bets on Trump Accounts to Reshape U.S. Philanthropy
Odaily News: Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said on X that Robinhood Banking assets have surpassed $4 billion, adding that this growth reflects users' trust in Robinhood to manage their funds.
Tenev also said that Robinhood is building "Trump Accounts," hoping they will become the default tool for charitable giving in the United States. Traditional charitable giving involves complex rules and regulations, and donors also need to evaluate charities and confirm whether funds are used as advertised and how efficiently they are used. Trump Accounts allow donors to directly invest funds into investment accounts held by American children, reducing the intermediaries in the donation process. Donors can see exactly where their money goes, children own the assets, and there are no fees. Account assets can grow over the long term at market rates of return, a model that could bring positive change to U.S. philanthropy.
