OdailyOdaily News: According to PeckShield monitoring, the crypto industry experienced 50 major hacking incidents in August 2026, a 67% increase from 30 in July, with total losses of approximately $136 million, down 49.5% from the previous month. The largest loss in August was the Tectonic.cro attack, with losses of about $74 million, making it the fourth-largest crypto theft since 2026, following the Drift, KelpDAO/LayerZero, and Coldcard incidents.
