Wilder World Unleashes Metaverse FPS Revolution With $100K Global Tournament at Gamescom 2025
Metaverse gaming just leveled up—Wilder World drops its first-person shooter debut alongside a massive six-figure tournament that's set to redefine virtual competition.
Gaming's New Frontier
Forget what you knew about metaverse experiences—Wilder World's FPS launch shatters expectations with bleeding-edge mechanics and immersive combat. The $100,000 prize pool isn't just pocket change; it's a statement that Web3 gaming means business.
Tournament Economics That Actually Make Sense
While traditional gaming studios nickel-and-dime players with microtransactions, Wilder World puts real money where its code is. The tournament structure bypasses legacy publisher models entirely—players compete for genuine value, not just bragging rights.
Gamescom's Crypto Coming-Out Party
The industry's premier gaming convention becomes ground zero for metaverse adoption. No more theoretical use cases—this is live-fire demonstration of blockchain's gaming potential, complete with real prizes and real competitors.
Because nothing proves viability like watching traditional VCs scramble to understand why digital land suddenly matters more than their spreadsheets.
[Cologne, August 21, 2025] – Wilder World is introducing a new dimension to its metaverse with the Super Early Access launch of its first-person shooter (FPS) mode, set to debut at Gamescom 2025 in partnership with Samsung. The launch will be accompanied by a $100,000 global tournament, with a live finale and travel rewards for top competitors.
“The $100K tournament isn’t just about esports, it’s a global stage to show the world that Wilder World is building at the frontier of gaming and the metaverse,” said n3o, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Wilder World. “Partnering with Samsung at Gamescom solidifies our belief that Web3 gaming will be a mainstream force in the next wave of entertainment.”
The new FPS experience marks Wilder World’s second playable mode, following the release of Wilder Wheels, the racing game launched in 2024. It further develops the VIRTUAL city of Wiami, the expansive open-world environment that underpins the Wilder ecosystem.
The rollout begins on August 20 at Gamescom, where attendees can experience the FPS gameplay for the first time. An open competition will follow, with qualifiers from August 25 to September 9, playoffs from September 10 to 15, and the final round on September 24. The five top players will be flown to a special live location for the finale, with all travel expenses covered.
In addition, Gamescom visitors can collect a Samsung-branded playable POAP NFT by tapping designated NFC towers on-site. The NFT can be used inside Wilder World’s metaverse.

The FPS launch builds on a series of recent milestones for Wilder World and its native token, WILD, including:
- A sell-out of the Lamborghini NFT collection, Temerario, in four minutes
- The release of Wiami.fun, enabling users to create and tokenize in-game assets
- The initiation of Operation Titan, a multi-million-dollar WILD buyback campaign
- The launch of Metropolis, a narrative-driven guide to the Wilder World economy
- The formation of CYPHER, a U.S. Treasury vehicle aimed at accessing traditional finance
Wilder World has maintained a consistent presence in the Top 10 Most Anticipated Games on the Epic Games Store, competing directly with high-profile AAA Web2 titles. By bringing an FPS experience, one of the most played and streamed genres in the industry, into the Wilder ecosystem, the project continues to blur the line between mainstream gaming and Web3 innovation.
