How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on BTCC?
BTCC Support4 years ago
【Updated on August 18, 2026】
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security in addition to your login password, helping protect your account from unauthorized access if your password is compromised.
BTCC supports the following verification methods:
• Mobile verification
• Email verification
• Google Authenticator
To enhance the security of your account and assets, we recommend binding an active mobile number and email and enabling Google Authenticator.
1. Go to Security Settings
Log in to the BTCC App, tap the profile icon in the upper-left corner of the Home page, and select [Security Settings].
On the Security Settings page, you can check the binding status of your mobile, email, and Google Authenticator.
2. How to Bind a Mobile Number?
1. On the [Security Settings] page, tap [Mobile].
2. Select the country or region code for your mobile number.
3. Enter your mobile number and tap [Send] to receive a verification code.
4. Enter the SMS verification code and complete any additional security verification as prompted.
5. Tap [Confirm] to complete the binding process.
Each mobile number can only be bound to one BTCC account.
3. How to Bind an Email?
1. On the [Security Settings] page, tap [Email].
2. Enter a valid email address that you can access.
3. Tap [Send] to receive a verification code.
4. Check your inbox for the verification email and enter the verification code.
5. Complete any additional security verification as prompted, then tap [Confirm].
We recommend using an email that you regularly use and can reliably access to avoid account issues caused by being unable to receive verification codes.
4. How to Bind Google Authenticator?
Step 1: Download Google Authenticator
Download Google Authenticator from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 2: Get the Verification Key
On the BTCC [Security Settings] page, tap [Google Authenticator]. If you have already installed the app, tap [I have installed the app] on the BTCC page.
A verification key will be displayed. Tap [Copy the key] and store the key securely as a backup. Never share this key with anyone.
Step 3: Add Your BTCC Account to Google Authenticator
Open Google Authenticator, tap [+] to add an account, and select the option to enter a verification key manually.
Once added, Google Authenticator will generate a 6-digit verification code that refreshes periodically.
Step 4: Complete Binding
Return to BTCC and enter the 6-digit code displayed in Google Authenticator. The code refreshes every 30 seconds. Tap [Complete] to complete the binding process.
5. How to Enable Withdrawal Verification?
After binding your mobile, email, or Google Authenticator, return to the [Security Settings] page.
Tap a bound verification method, turn on [Withdrawal Verification] as shown on the page, and make sure the status is set to [Enabled].
Once enabled, you will be required to enter the corresponding verification code when making withdrawals or performing other sensitive actions.
You can enable one or multiple verification methods. The specific security verification required may vary depending on the operation. Please follow the instructions displayed on the relevant page.

The risk is especially high in leveraged trading since leverage magnifies profits and amplifies risks at the same time. Please make sure you have a thorough understanding of the industry, the leveraged trading models, and the rules of trading before opening a position. Additionally, we strongly recommend that you identify your risk tolerance and only accept the risks you are willing to take. All trading involves risks, so you must be cautious when entering the market.
